OPENING AN ACCOUNT


HOW TO OPEN AN ONLINE TRADING ACCOUNT?
  • Client shall download and fill up the Customers Account Information Form (CAIF), Signature Card and Optimum Online Trading Agreement and print under Forms Section.
  • For Foreign Clients, fill up the CAIF which is duly authenticated by the country's respective embassy or consular office and should agree and sign the Terms and Conditions of Trading Agreement.
  • Submit the original signed CAIF, Signature card and Terms and Conditions of Trading Agreement and all the requirements documents to Optimum Securities Corporation.
  • For Know Your Client Procedure, the clients should personally bring the completely filled up forms together with the documentary requirements to Optimum Securities Corporation at #11 EO Bldg. United Cor. 2nd St., Bo. Kapitolyo, Pasig City. In case the client cannot bring the form to Optimum Securities Office, the Authorized Salesman can go to clients office or residence address to get the forms and conduct the Know Your Client procedure. In case of old client working abroad, he/she have to fill up the CAIF form and send the original copy of CAIF form to Optimum Securities Corporation.
  • Upon receipts of the completely filled up forms together with the documentary requirements, the Sales Head of Optimum Securities Corporation shall review the completeness of the documents and approve the application to open the account of the client.
  • Client must be briefed on a step by step procedure on how to use the Online Trading System and the portal run under the minimum bandwidth and on the online agreement.
  • The Settlement Head shall notify the client thru email the unique Identification Code (IC) and Account Number. These codes will be used in completing the online registration form in Optimum Securities Corporation.
  • Client must complete the online registration in the website using the assigned IC and Account number. Client should take note the IC and Account Number are mandatory fields.
  • The client may deposit funds (Cash or Check) at any branches of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation.
  • The client should create new password and pin code upon registration to the online website.
  • The IT Head shall verify thru Broker Management System (BMS) the client information in the Maintenance Info Function menu to ensure that the account is successfully registered. The BMS will be updated if there be any changes in the client information.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS IN OPENING AN ONLINE TRADING ACCOUNT?
    The Client shall prepare the following documentary requirements:
  • For Filipino Individuals:
    • Photocopy of government issued ID - Two (2) valid issued by government ID's with photo and signature. (Passport, Voter's ID, GSIS ID, SSS ID, Driver's License, Senior Citizen ID)
  • For Foreign Clients any two (2) of the following:
    • Photocopy of one government-issued ID
    • Photocopy of Alien Certificate of Registration
    • Any documents duly authenticated by the country's respective embassy or consular
  • For Corporate Accounts:
    • Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws Duly signed "Certified True Copy" by the authorized signatoy of the Corporation.
    • Notarized Board Resolution/Secretary's Certificate authorizing the Corporation to purchase and sell shares of stocks with Optimum Securities Corporation and the designated signatories.
    • Specimen Signature Card of each signatory.
    • Photocopy of two (2) valid IDs of the authorized signatory.
    • Latest Annual Report/Audited Financial Statement.

HOW TO TRANSFER FROM TRADITIONAL CLIENT TO ONLINE CLIENT?
  • Traditional Client shall inform Optimum Securities Corporation of their intention to go Online Trading thru letter of request.
  • Traditional Client should update the Client Account Information Form (CAIF) and email address is mandatory to fill up.
  • Traditional Client should download and sign Online Trading Agreement.
  • The Settlement Head of Optimum Securities Corporation shall create the data of the client and provide the client thru email with unique identification code and Account Number for Online Trading.
  • To be able to complete the opening of the account, the client must complete the online registration thru Optimum Securities Corporation website. The clients should take note the IC and Account number are mandatory fields.
  • The Settlement Head shall generate the TC Code of the client from PSE. The IT Head shall then generate Account Number and IC Code of client thru BMS.
  • The Settlement Head upon approval of AP shall make stock transfer memo from the traditional holdings of the client to online trading account.
  • The IT Head shall verify if the account is successfully registered thru BMS.

FUNDS AND WITHDRAWAL


HOW TO FUND MY ACCOUNT?
  • The client may deposit its funds (Cash or Check) at any branches of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC)

    Account Number - 1000-699-22-1 (Savings Account)

    Or the client may opt to go to Optimum Securities Corporation office at #11 EO Bldg. United Cor. 2nd St., Bo. Kapitolyo, Pasig City to make an initial deposit or the messenger will pick up check from the client on the clients convenient location.

  • If the fund were deposited to Optimum Securities Corporation account, the client must send a scanned or fax copy of the deposit slip at (02) 633-2629 or send thru email at optimum@vso.com.ph for validation and verification. The IT Head will update the credit limit on BMS. The Settlement Head will issue Official Receipt upon clearing.

HOW TO WITHDRAW MY FUNDS?
  • Fill up the Request for Funds Withdrawal form and submit to Optimum Securities Corporation office. Only completed form will be processed. The funds shall be available for pick-up at the office of OSC a day after the OSC will received and verified your request; provided, however, that such request is received before the 11:00 am cut -off period. For any inquiries, you may contact OSC at (02) 633-2629

HOW TO LODGE MY STOCK CERTIFICATE?
  • You may call our office for verification because some stocks requires personal appearance at the stock transfer office.
  • Bring the certificate at the office with your signature at the back of certificate.
  • Submit 2 valid government issued IDs
  • Processing fee per stock charged by the PDTC is P100.00 and for cancellation fee per certificate + 12% VAT for non-bank transfer office is P20.00.

HOW TO TRANSFER MY STOCKHOLDINGS TO ANOTHER BROKER?
  • You must give Optimum Securities Corporation written instructions to transfer your existing stockholdings to another stock broker.
  • A copy of which must be furnished to Optimum Securities Corporation.
  • The fee is P75.00 per stock regardless of the number of shares.

HOW TO UPLIFT MY HOLDINGS INTO STOCK CERTIFICATE?
  • Fill up the necessary form/Signature Card
  • Submit 2 valid Government-issued IDs
  • Personal appearance maybe required by some stock transfer office. Processing fee will be charged P50.00 if the transfer agent is a bank and P162.00 if the transfer agent is non-bank (This is per certificate)

ORDER PROCESSING


WHEN CAN I START TRADING?
  • You can start trading after your initial funds have been cleared and then we will send an email with your log-in details for you to access your Optimum Online Trading account. Then you can now start trading online.

WHAT ARE THE TRADING HOURS?
9:00 - 9:29 AM Market Pre-Open Orders are accepted but no matching of orders can occur during this phase (No cancellation from 9:16 - 9:30 AM)
9:30 AM Opening Opening prices are calculated
9:30 AM - 11:59 AM Continuous Trading All orders are automatically queued and matched as soon as they enter the order book and a counterpart can be found.
12:00 - 1:29 PM Market Recess No orders can be posted. No orders can be modified and cancelled.
1:30 PM Continuous Trading All orders are automatically queued and matched as soon as they enter the order book and a counterpart can be found.
3:17 PM Market Pre-Close Orders are accepted but no matching occurs.
3:20 PM Closing Closing prices are calculated. No cancellation of orders.
3:20 PM Run-off or Trading At Last Closing prices are calculated. No cancellation of orders.
3:30 PM Market Close


WHAT ARE MARKET SEGMENTS?
  • Normal Market - The Normal Market is where Board Lot orders are traded
    Oddlot Market - The Odd Lot Market is where orders with volume or quantity less than the defined Board Lot are traded. Tick on Odd Lot when posting Odd Lot orders.

    Both markets are defined separately and are independent from one another during trading.
    The reference price of Odd Lot on the next trading day will ba based on the Normal Market.

WHAT ARE THE ORDER TYPES?
  • Only limit order is accepted by the system.
  • A limit order is an order entered with a specified price and volume.
  • Any remaining unexecuted portion of a Limit Order will be added to the Central Order Book at the entered Limit price.

WHAT ARE THE VALIDITY TYPES?
  • Day Order (Day) - order that remain valid until the end of the Trading Day.
  • Good Till Cancelled (GTC) - orders that remain valid until cancelled by the User or until it reached the set expiration date of the instrument.
  • Good Till Date (GTD) - orders that remain valid until the date specified when the Order is entered.
  • Good Till Week (GTW) - orders with a Good Till Week type is valid for seven (7) calendar days from the day it was posted.
  • Sliding - orders with sliding validity type is valid for 360 calendar days.
  • Fill-and-Kill order (FAK) - referred to as "execute-and-eliminate orders". Any remaining unexecuted portion of an FAK order is elimiated.

WHAT ARE STATIC THRESHOLDS?
  • Static Thresholds are the lowest (floor) and highest (ceiling) price limit for each security that the system will accept.
  • Ceiling = Previous day's Closing Price or LACP + (0.5 * Previous day's Closing Price or LACP)
  • Floor = Previous day's Closing Price or LACP - (0.5 * Previous day's Closing Price or LACP)
  • Warrants = currently it is defined on the above static thresholds however there shouldn't be floor and ceiling.

HOW CAN I POST MY BUYING AND SELLING ORDER?
  • You can post your buying and selling order by using the Order Pad which is located at the PSETradexplore screen's Bottom Right Panel. The following are the mandatory fields of the order pad: Action, Account No., Validity Type, Order Type, Units, Price, and Trading PIN.
  • For Buying Order, the following are the steps required to enter buying orders:
    • Highlight the preferred stock in Quote Screen.
    • Click the Buy button on the Function Menu Bar. The Order Pad will change its color to green.
    • Fill in the mandatory fields and click the BUY Button.
  • For Selling Order, the following are the steps required to enter selling orders:
    • Highlight the preferred stock in Quote Screen.
    • Click the Buy button on the Function Menu Bar. The Order Pad will change its color to red.
    • Fill in the mandatory fields and click the SELL Button.

HOW TO VIEW MY BUYING AND SELLING ORDER?
  • You can view your order at the Order Book. It displays the status of all orders sent to the brokers= house located at the Function Menu Bar. And you can also select a particular order to view its details.

CAN I CANCEL AND REVISE MY ORDERS?
  • Yes. You can cancel/modify an order if there is no matching orders. For partially matched order only the unmatched order can be cancelled and revised. you cannot cancel orders during Pre-Opening No Cancellation (PNC) (9:15 AM to 9:30 AM) and during Pre-Close No Cancellation (PNC) (3:15 PM to 9:19 PM). However, you may cancel/revise any posted or remaining unmatched orders in the following manner:
  • Click the Order Book menu in the Function Menu Bar
  • Select the Order Status. The Order Book containing orders will appear
  • Select the particular order to modify. Right-click and select Cancel/Revise
  • Modify order in Order Pad
  • Click the Cancel/Revise button on the Order Pad.

HOW CAN I PLACE MY ORDERS IF I DON'T HAVE ANY ACCESS TO ONLINE TRADING?
  • In case that you cannot place an order, you may call our office at (02) 633-2629 / (02) 631-3989 for assistance in posting your orders. This is for emergency posting only.

RULES ON POSTING REGULAR ORDER
  • The price of an order should always be with the Trading Threshold.
  • Orders shall not exceed the Credit Funds assigned to the client.
  • Rules on posting orders during the different market phases shall always be observed.
  • Combining of Regular Lots and Odd Lots is not allowed.

RULES ON POSTING ODD LOT ORDER
  • Partial matching of odd lot orders is allowed.
  • The price of an odd lot order is lower than the market price.
  • Odd lot orders can only be posted as the Market opens or during the Continuous Trading Period.

BOARD LOT TABLE
  • The Board Lot is the minimum lot size of share of stock that you can buy or sell. Every stock may trade at different minimum lot sizes controlled by its price.

  • The Odd Lot order is any amount of shares not wholly divisible by minimum board lot. An Odd Lot order can only be posted as the Market opens or during the Continuous Trading Period.
